Update: Jozy Altidore is a Hull City Tiger!

Update 2: ESPN’s first EPL game of the week on August 15th. That’s right, Jozy Altidore and the Hull City Tigers taking on Lampard, Terry and the Chelsea Blues at Stamford Bridge. Wow!

Update 1: As TSG hoped and predicted, Jozy Altidore will be unveiled today as their newest striker.  It’s a great fit for Jozy, benefiting from the service of Ian Ashbee and Geovanni.

Altidore confirmed the deal today via his Twitter account:

JozyAltidore17First match is against chelsea subject to a work permit *wink* *wink* lol thanks for the support and love keep it coming.”

UK paper the Daily Mail is reporting that Fullham and Hull City are hot and heavy to bring  U.S. wonderkind Jozy Altidore to the Premiership. Altidore has been vocal in the press about giving up his front row seats at Villarreal.

EPL bound?

EPL bound?

We love it, Altidore on Fox Soccer Channel and ESPN more in advance of World Cup next year. Ecstatic.

While we would love a potential pairing of two Americans at Fullham–Eddie Johnson has been having a strong preseason for the Cottagers–we think that Altidore’s style is better suited for the faster pace that the Tigers play.

We’re looking forward to a series of highlights of Giovanni to Altidore.

Way to go US boys.

Elliot, are you a Brown fan? He came apart a bit at the end of last year after a stunning start.
What do think for them this season?

What are Hull fans saying about the Altidore loan?

I personally think this is a good idea because 1) he’ll actually play 2) he’ll be able to help the team and learn alot. this is a good fit. In villareal he was just kinda the US kid that was there.
