Maurice Edu is the new Jermaine Jones

Mo: Dancing onto a pitch near you soon....we hope..

We have no idea what the title means either.

Reports out of Scotland seem to suggest that Maurice Edu will be back in the line-up in the next few weeks, however it’s his ankle, not his knee that is now holding him back. I think that’s a good thing.

No word as of yet from the USMNT’s leader in Twitter followers.

C’mon Mo, you need to make TSG’s forthcoming 23 for the Redemption Tour column…I feel like it’s Christmas time and I’m about to unwrap a shiny new defensive midfielder.

Other morning bullets:

According to this report, Sochaux are lining up Charlie Davies in-season replacement.

Onetime USMNT striker extraordinaire turned Mr. Hot Air Balloon Eric Wynalda sniffing around the Chicago Fire managing job….so says a Fire blog.

  1. Sorta random, but you know what I’d kinda like to see? A TSG interview with Jay Watford. I think it’s HUGE he will be back, and fit. Kinda want to hear his perspectives on the rest of the season at watford, playing w/o Gooch, ect. Really same things I’d like to hear from Mo, but after he gets back into playing.

We’ll try for it…we’ve got a few interviews were working on, but nothing set in stone yet.

That’s not just any fire blog, that Fire Confidential, worth a look.

Sorry– we’re new to the MLS and the relevant pubs and their quality.

That being said, any story, including our own, that doesn’t cite sources or offer more than one off-the-record source confirming information we tread lightly around.

I’ve never been too picky about who gains health first, but frankly I do, he makes any impact or not, want to see how JJ would do on the team. Maurice Edu wouldn’t be any worry because we know that he’s already played with our squad JJ hasn’t.
