Jozy Jukes The City & The Rest of The Day

We never miss a chance to show the Hull City tiger....

Thanks for those that joined us this morning for our first early morn live commentary.

The Jozy goal watch is on off while Holden–despite rumors–is still outside the 18.

Hang around to comment here for other games…I’ve got to go walk the dog.

  • Kenny Cooper in the 18 for Plymouth Argyle today against West Brom….I think he’ll get in there today…UPDATE: Cooper came on in the 58th minute.
  • Jozy Altidore finally nets his first Premiership goal in the 30th minute to give Hull a 1-0 lead at Manchester City.
  • Arjen Robben is on a tear. He hit for another to make it four goals in his last five matches. This time it took all of two minutes.
  • Another first for Hull as George Boateng nets his first for the Tigers off an absolute rocket from outside the box.
  • Wayne Rooney continues his top form with a goal in the 40th versus Portsmouth.  Let’s just hope that Rooney is using up all his 2010 goals in the Premiership and will be on “E” by the time the World Cup rolls around.

Mark “called” the Altidore netter….and here is the t-shirt to commemorate it….JOLAZO!

  3. For a minute I thought they were going to draw lots to see who would strike the free.

  4. Everton had no creativity, but what a rough game, Steve Nichols said thats the roughest game he has seen in 10 years.

fsc broadcast suck, i want HD..but JZA got the nod on the starting 11, and just won a free kick

Has Altidore started taking free kicks for Hull? I don’t recall any in the games I watched.

(Maybe the team is pushing to get in him on the score sheet today.)

YESSS!!!! I have no idea what that trip to Haiti did to Altidore, but I’m glad he took it.

Looked like Wayne Bridge thought the ball was Terry’s head…he crushed that one.

  17. Didn’t manage to wake up for the Liverpool Derby but watching the Battle of 2 Cities. Sounds like I didn’t miss much that wouldn’t have pissed me off. As for Jozy, he’s getting the hang of this “Premier League” thing. I love the Cruyff turn. If GeorgeCross is out there somewhere, THAT’s the move that Drogba was constantly attempting without success in his early Chelsea days.

2 feet of snow so far here in DC, hopefully the power will stay on for the second half, in which Jozy bags a second.

I’m finally here, after drinking since 10:45 am.

I saw Jozy’s goal. Great approach play, nice holiding up and beautiful lay-off. Altidore’s finish was perfect – low, hard and placed in the corner, Given had no chance.

I’m pretty sure it came out that they were fine. Took a few days obviously to find and get in contact with them, but good news over-all.

Well done Shinguardians – you called Jozy’s cherry poppin clinical finish last night. I love the site, and am very glad you are right on in your prognostication. OK, back to snowed in on the east coast, football, and Stella Artois! GO USA!
