Matt for his quote “The Copier Thinks Donovan Is Michael Bradley”
and
Nick for on diving ad…”make sure they’re wearing an Italian jersey when it happens”
Seriously – here though – USSF should have instructed ESPN to put Mike Bradley in the commercial.
Given MB’s history (not present) the uber-fan would have loved how on-target the ad was.
Next, they should have had MB’s uncle (who works for ESPN) come up and show him how to do it — that would’ve been an inside joke until the word got out on it.
And…ESPN would have introduced America to a new star…
….who was the Coach’s son!
….so that when they bombard us with the Father’s Day story in South Africa it would be somewhat acceptable.
I hope and pray they at least gave Big T, Boca, Gooch and Deuce chances to film their own commercials while in Bristol today. That’s really the core 6 in terms of raising the profile. I have visions of Big T basically reprising the Larry Fitz commercial where he catches everything, Gooch getting called for bogus fouls in something similar to the proposed diving ad while Captain Carlos argues with the “official”, and Deuce chatting with noted footy fans Ochocinco, Kobe and KG to show just how gangsta the sport really is.
[...] nice start (Was that Josh Elliott’s first commercial cap?), but Donovan brought it home with the copier/yellow card spot. Well-played, four-letter, [...]

Agreed. I laughed out loud when I saw this. Another great Sportscenter Commercial.

I laughed harder at the title than I did the video.

Best. Title. Ever.
Almost made me laugh harder than the commercial did last night.
Another funny idea — diving. Bump someone in the hallway and have them flying into a cubicle or something.

I thought Landon was going to try to copy himself. This was much funnier than that. Nice title.
