Fernando Torres Needs To Speak More With His Boots

…and if you thought it was going to be anyone speaking out at the Bridge, it would have been someone from the Didier Drogba, John Terry old guard.

Torres, sour grapes on Chelsea

Related but on a different team… I watched Milan play yesterday, what’s up with Ibrahimovich? Lazy and snoody, ditto for Cassano. Both could use a little more heart.

After the huge contracts these players are awarded it’s almost like they expect the game to play itself for them rather than motivating them to play with honor. It’s disappointing.

That’s not new for Ibra. He’s always been a little lazy and full of attitude. That’s the only way you can score goals like he has. Most players don’t have the confidence to try the stuff he’s pulled off.

I think the big money is a problem but Torres moving to Chelsea was always going to be a struggle for somebody there. They usually only play with 1 striker and they had Drogba and Anelka at the time. Throw in Sturridge and that lone striker role is awfully crowded at Chelsea.

I find it pretty hilarious to read the exact same excuses that Liverpool fans used for the one and a half/two years prior to Torres leaving being trotted out by Chelsea fans now.

Anyhoo, if Chelsea is slow, then Torres should fit right in because after his last two surgeries he isn’t exactly blazing fast these days either.

Still cannot figure out what they saw in him that would cause them to invest that kind of cash. He’s been out of form for a long time in soccer years and hasn’t looked ready to break out or like he cared frankly.
Chelsea’s problem wasn’t attacking firepower it was an old and crumbling midfield. They could have won the league with Anelka and Drogba if you just gave them some consistent service.
Mata will help.Sturridge is still a question of his talent vs his brain as he still seems to be too immature in his play. I’d like to see Ramires go and send Torres with him as neither fit into the side.
