According to Greg Seltzer at MLS Soccer on his blog, the United States will play Italy in Genoa on February 29th.
Two conjoining notes:
That international side name will always, always bring up this clip on TSG below….
….and perhaps it should be Milan castoff and Zlatan opponent Oguchi Onyewu that enforces it.
….or maybe Michael Bradley?
(For old times sake, can we have Bobby Convey come running in off the left wing and sky a ball over a wide open goal?)

Hopefully Klinsmann will have his A side put together by then. Should be a good test. And man oh man was McBride ever one tough guy.

Last time we played Italy in Italy the Sicilians booed the Azzuri off the pitch at halftime after a spirited 1st from the US. Still ended up losing 1-0.

Nice match for both. Gives the USA another quality opponent on European soil and gives the Italians a good test in the run up to Euros

It just so happens that the Group stage match at Kaiserslautern was the first USMNT match I ever saw in addition to the first full World Cup match I ever saw.
Wasn’t there a goal called offside later on? I remember that being pretty painful.

A chance to finally challenge Giuseppe Rossi, or break his legs

Not unless somehow his cruciate ligament heals itself faster than the 6 months originally indicated.
