I hope Pep finds one other club on the planet that will actually be able to utilize his expertise. (He’s not dumb enough to go to Chelsea or Inter, is he?)
Something tells me Pep will come to a mid-table EPL side and try to build them up. You can only imagine the constant stress he’s under at Barcelona having to always win Trebles year in and year out or the year would be qualified as sub-par.
What about Tottenham? Not quite mid-table, but no where near the same stress level as the other clubs of similar quality. They’ll also have a convenient job opening when Harry bails to skipper England
I wouldn’t be shocked if he ended up at Arsenal. Arsene Wenger might leave in a few years, they do put a premium on playing attractive football, have enough talent and money to be competitive year in and year out, however; there isn’t this fanatical need to win trophies every year. So he would have some time to institute a system, bring in players, etc.
Not only is Guardiola an idealist when it comes to football, he is intelligent as well. He won’t go to just any team, but will be selective about which club and if it meets his own personal and selective criteria.
A class guy and a wonderful manager. It’s refreshing to see an idealist who sticks to his principles when he’s up or down. Shame Mourinho couldn’t learn a little bit about how to carry yourself as a winner and loser from him.
Don’t know that you’ll see another side as perfectly suited to its manager as Barca and Pep the last 5 yrs or if he’ll find another situation as perfect as this.
Maybe the Spain NT is his next logical conquest? He’d have a few more options in the box and the little geniuses to drive the MF for a few more years. And of course Saint Iker….
