Euro 2012: Death Today To the Group of Dead

Will the Holland Citrus Apples take their weak bow today? Does Ronaldo say “bah….?” Do Rommendahl and Denmark atone for World Cup 2010? And will Beaker & Kyle Martino continue to drive the German Machine at steamroller level? Checkout what we thought!

Fun day in the Euros.

Either of these guys get the easy goal and pat on the back today?

With Muller missing a chance that was harder to miss than make, can we please see Gotze/Reus/Schurrle? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

I think Podolski should be dropped before Muller. Schurrle looked sharp in his minutes vs the Danes, and I think one of those 3 should start to help break down the Greeks.

Think Muller is invaluable because he runs so much off the ball and doesn’t need the ball to be successful. With Ozil, Gomez, Schweinsteiger, my opinion is he should stay in there.

did anyone else find themselves thinking the greek georgi khastaguinous, or whatever, but did anyone think he looked like deniro from cape fear, after the missed PK call? to me, it was pretty uncanny.

If England were eliminated with zero points after three games, the ABE crew would be having a field day. Considering the talent they have, and they reached the WC final two years ago, this has got to go down as one of the biggest f**k ups in modern history.
But I guess we’ll leave that to the German media and fans – they must be throwing their bicycles in the air…

They looked dysfunctional from the first kick in this tournament. They continually suffer from the disconnected egos that make them such a successful producer of international players but an awful unit when put together.

I told you they were a mess. Two major issues, besides the defensive personnel: (1) They needed an honest-to-goodness linking player; (2) Too little off-the-ball movement (which might have been a cohesiveness thing or it might have been a product of loading the lineup with #10s).

Anybody else think that Kevin Strootman would’ve been useful as on of the ‘2’ in their 4-2-3-1? And I thought Robben should’ve been benched after that 1st match because he has not looked like himself since that Champions League final
