Slovenian Starlet Sought By Sir Alex

Making a name with Tyneside

The States won’t face him in two months.

The 17-year-old Haris Vučkić–who has trialed at AC Milan and has featured three times for Newcastle–is on Manchester United’s shopping list, according to the Daily Mail.

The 6’2” youngster who is an attacking midfielder has yet to feature for Slovenia senior team.

Imagine if this situation had happened in the United States. Oh the press.

  1. I see your Haris Vučkić and raise you a Sebastian Lletget.

    That felt good.

I just hope that Manchester United compensate Newcastle United fairly. I know it’s part and parcel of the football food chain, but it really pisses me off when big clubs undervalue a player and then let the whole situation go to a tribunal (because they want to part with a unrealistically low amount). Smaller clubs know that if they find a gem, the bigger clubs are going to come knocking, but the fee is so important to them. Obviously, Newcastle United is a sleeping giant, and this is less about them.

Newcastle will want lots of money for him. Mike Ashley has made a focus on a youth movement and will not let the youngsters go on the cheap. They know what they have, theres lots of expectations for him (as well as Nile Ranger). He hasnt shown much yet because he has been injured for a while, but if i remember right, he broke into the first team after only a few reserve matches earlier this season.
